Foundations in Personal Finance
Learn how to manage your money before graduating college. This course, will empower you to create a practical plan for your money. You will learn to save, budget, spend wisely, live free from debt, and how wise planning and investing can help make your retirement dreams a reality.
Introduction to Entrepreneurship
In this course, Jim Van Eerden introduces you to Entrepreneurship, emphasizing the key steps of the entrepreneurial experience—conceiving an idea, innovating, evaluating, and then creating a business. You’ll develop an understanding of the entrepreneurial approach to business. It will also provide a solid foundation for the application of key elements of entrepreneurship including: creativity and innovation, opportunity recognition and analysis, and business-building fundamentals such as the basics of leadership, marketing, and financial literacy.
Leadership Theory & Practice
What makes a good leader? In this course, Dr. Jeff Myers begins with a practical understanding of leadership and takes you on a guided tour of leadership ideas through history. Along the way, you'll develop financial and time management skills, and hear from influential modern day leaders like Chuck Colson, Star Parker, David Barton, and Voddie Baucham. Before the journey is over, you'll learn to set realistic goals and build a personal plan for leadership.
Leadership & Management Communication
Relationships are impossible without communication. Many bright and talented leaders have been stunted in their influence by an inability to clearly and graciously communicate their ideas to others. Dr. Jeff Myers will explore the challenges leaders face when attempting to communicate to their stakeholders.
Leadership Learning & Execution
How do you grow wise as a leader? In this course, Dr. Jeff Myers will answer this question by exploring the Hebrew definition of wisdom, in addition to the best practices for effective mentoring and execution of strategic plans. You’ll be given an opportunity to put your leadership skills to the test as you develop a relationship with a mentor and begin mentoring others. As a unique addition to Leadership Learning & Execution, you’ll attend a five-day training event with Dr. Myers in person!
What do you believe? Why do you believe it? The way you explain and interpret the world around you is your worldview. Everybody has one. This course is designed to explore the idea of worldview as well as the various dominant worldviews shaping the contemporary world.
English Composition I
Time to develop and refine your written communication skills. This course will give you a firm understanding of the writing process from initial idea to final draft. You’ll learn to achieve a clear and effective style in your writing, identify elements of sentence structure, find spelling mistakes, and understand proper and improper punctuation. During this course, you’ll practice applying the steps of the writing process and hone your skills by writing effective and grammatically correct essays. Finally, you’ll discover practical strategies and guidelines for writing research papers. The goal of this course is to prepare you to write effectively in both personal and professional environments.
This course will provide you with an introduction to business accounting. You’ll study accounting concepts and principles, financial statements, internal control design, and accounting for partnerships. When you’ve finished, you’ll be able to define terms related to business accounting, understand how to apply accounting concepts and principles, evaluate internal controls, account for partnership transactions, prepare financial statements, and analyze those financial statements for decision making.
American History I
In this course, you’ll get a broad overview of American History from New World exploration and settlement through the Civil War. You’ll begin by studying major early civilizations on the continent, but before long will find yourself examining the differences between the various American colonies and the challenges faced by this growing, diverse society, such as the American Revolution and the new U.S. Constitution. You’ll finish by studying America before and after the Civil War.
This course will help you develop a deeper understanding of microeconomic principles. You’ll learn foundational concepts like opportunity costs and supply and demand. Beyond that, you’ll specifically explore microeconomic principles—such as efficiency and fairness in markets, government actions and their impacts, different market structures, and income distribution. Ultimately, you’ll finish this course with a greater understanding of the economic way of thinking and a better comprehension of the relevance of microeconomic thought.
Participate in monthly webinars on topics ranging from commercial real estate to launching a consumer packaged good. You’ll gain a deeper knowledge about specific industries and business models. In addition to monthly webinars, you’ll have live Q&As with various professors, staff members, business leaders, and entrepreneurs.
You’ll earn two certifications throughout the program. The first is the Signature Leadership Certification—earned by completing all three Leadership Courses. The second is a Business & Leadership Certification—awarded at the completion of the program—which reflects the critical business skills learned throughout your coursework and events.

3 Day Startup
June 28–30, 2019
For the first time ever, you’ll get to gather in Austin, TX, to participate in a 3 Day Startup. Over the course of a weekend, a trained facilitator will lead you from ideation and team formation to pitching developed ventures.
By the third day, you’ll have the skills you need to form teams, effectively conduct customer discovery, and develop viable, scalable ventures.
Leadership Course Capstone
Estes Park, CO
March 19–23, 2019
This five-day event is part of the Leadership Learning & Execution course. It takes the skills learned in all three leadership courses and applies them to real life through project management, team leadership, and mentorship.
During this event-packed week, you'll pursue group projects, peer coaching, and receive in-person teaching from Dr. Jeff Myers himself.

Is this a faith-based program?
While many aspects of Business & Leadership are taught from a Christian perspective or taught by Christian professors, we don’t expect or require you to identify with any specific religion. We simply ask that you be aware that many of these courses and events teach Christian principles and contain Christian themes.
Who is a good fit for this program?
If you want to start your own business, climb a corporate ladder, or simply start your business-related bachelor’s degree in a meaningful way, you’re the perfect fit. But you don’t have to be a “business person.” We welcome chefs who want to start restaurants, dancers who want their own studio, anyone who wants to turn their dreams into reality!
What do students do after this program?
As Business & Leadership concludes, we’ll make sure you’re ready to take the next steps towards earning your degree. An Admissions Counselor will help you plan any additional transfer courses you should be taking, and once you’re ready to transfer, they’ll guide you on exactly how to enroll at your chosen university.
Can I take more than 10 courses?
With Unbound, we encourage you to go at your pace The Business & Leadership program does require you to stay on pace with your cohorts by taking at least 10 courses a year, but that doesn’t mean you can’t take more! We’ll help you purchase additional courses if desired.
What can I major in?
It depends on the school you select. The list of schools above are pre-approved for several business-centric majors, including business, entrepreneurship, business administration, and general business. Since the majors offered differ between schools, your Admissions Counselor will help you choose the right school and major for you.

Can I use the credit I've already earned?
Of course! Our Academic Advisors will review your transcripts and provide recommendations based on the credit you already have. However, this program is specifically designed for students who have less than 18 credits, so keep in mind the more credits you already have, the less likely it is that Business & Leadership will be a good fit for you.
Can I use financial aid or scholarships?
Most student “aid” is actually debt. So we don’t accept any funds from financial aid. Instead, we work hard to lower your total cost, removing any need for student aid in the first place. We have several flexible payment options available for Business & Leadership. Ask an Admissions Counselor for more details.
What if I don’t know which college to choose?
Then you’re in luck! Our Admissions Counselors will provide you with personalized recommendations, so you can make an educated decision. Unlike most college advisors, we don’t accept any money from colleges, so you can count on us for an unbiased recommendation.
